Grow stuff!
Found a 'big box' bulb kit on clearance: H. 'Minerva.'

Anyone seen one similar- producing so many bulblets while dormant?

So far, after majestic flowering, one bulblet has sent up leaves to the surface, and I'm dying to dig it to look... but I'll try to wait.
Before purchase, I was 'inspecting' the pallet of them to decide on a good bulbs to buy, (not yet growing) and this was the only one like this...
I had to try it!
I imagine some growers might cull this, as it might be assumed the bulb is spending more effort producing baby bulbs and less on flowering, but it put up TWO scapes / 4 flowers each, impressive for an inexpensive & smaller bulb.
It does seem the bulb is shrinking quickly after bloom, so it might be in decline, giving too much energy to flower and offset production to continue?
Anyone experienced a bulb like this?
