A chance of flurries after 1pm. Increasing clouds, with a high near 24. North wind 5 to 10 mph.

Mac,
Geese confuse me, lol! I see them every day, but not in huge groups.

Howdy Dave!
Been eating chicken soup for over a week, so I'm great! I haven't been sick all winter. (Leaning over to knock on my dresser made of real wood.) Hope you're great too!

Thomas,
Smiling over snips of watching your teenager grow...up?

Ginny,
Your kids and grandkids, jobs well done!
Rj, Maturity for sure. I was actually thinking about me not going to college, admitting to myself I wasn't ready, or, really smart enough. But bless my Mom, she offered.
Hahaha! Love the money makers!

Jim,
I would like it to rain for hours.

Gene,
It was supposed to flurry here and the sun just came out.
Yes metal roof! Nothing more satisfying than hearing a large section of snow and ice sliding off.

Grocery day and a long walk. I don't think I'll see any snow today.

I was lucky enough to have a zoo 20 minutes away. But it was a poor zoo for animals back then. Only the buffalo and antelope had any sort of roaming room.

Monkeys At The Zoo

I remember the chimp, but I don't recall seeing a lot of him. Maybe because he liked to sling, well, you know what that was, lol! My last memory of him was in a small box cage with a glass window, and it was sitting up on the sidewalk. He was peering out the window and looked so sad. I put my hand on the glass and he put his hand up there too. I think we bonded.

The spider monkey cage was always fun to visit. It was way down at the end. If you could give the monkeys something, one would take it, and the others would chase him. I remember Lisa and I telling Mom we wanted a monkey. She emphatically said NO!

Then I watched all these nature shows about all kinds of monkeys. I emphatically

Alligators At The Zoo

They were one of the first things you saw when you got to the zoo. They didn't have a very big enclosure and hardly moved. I remember the pennies laying on their backs from people throwing them in.

My cousins had baby gators. I remember how bad they stunk, even with a clean cage, but it was pretty neat to go see them. When they got too big, they had to go. They donated one to the zoo. Sadly the other one died earlier.
A small town has no secrets except itself
