Sunny, with a high near 56. Southwest wind 5 to 10 mph becoming northwest in the afternoon.

On the run. I need to check into FB then get myself out for a long walk!

I put new sheets on my bed today and I washed and hung the other set out. I could smell them as I walked by.

With Petey and Zoe gone, the outdoor cat fence is down. It's been a long time since I haven't had to let myself out of the gate. I also took a tub of clean jars to the shed and a lot of empty boxes piling up on the side porch.

It's beautiful and I have to walk this afternoon because snow is coming!

Story Time:
The Buffalo At The Zoo

Their fence was at the end of the sidewalk and usually, the buffalo and antelope were grazing down below, almost out of sight. But once in a while the buffalo would come up and eat. I remember the strong fence they had around their area, but I always stayed behind the trough. I instinctively knew it would take longer for them to bust through it there if they decided to.

I was in awe of these buffalo. Their huge heads, their eyes, their horns, their massive size. The color of their coat. I was in love!

Three or four teenage boys came up while I was standing there. They were joking around and pushing each other. One guy hopped up and leaned over the trough, grabbed a handful of the male's forelock and pulled hard. I saw the hairs in his hand. I got out of there, heart pumping, afraid the buffalo was going to bust out for sure.

I'm still mad at the guy for doing that.
A small town has no secrets except itself
