A few days ago I was very surprised.to see this (very short) scape on my Painted Lady (Mid season) here in Liverpool. Other daylilies have plenty of leaves, thanks to a mild winter, and this is growing close to the South wall of my house so it has a warm microclimate, but I would not expect to see scapes before May.
