Yes, I have a number of cacti, mostly in the greenhouse, but two live outside all year.
Despite being on the same latitude as Edmonton Alberta my winters are not very cold. This year it has only gone slightly below freezing on a few nights, and it has always been several degrees above freezing during the day. My dormant daylilies started to appear in January.
British conditions are good for daylilies - they never get rust here - although they are not as popular as they deserve to be.
