Daylilies & hardy hibiscus
Oh, wow, @florange, @dennis616 and @pikaia! I'm jealous.

I love early scapes, but it's kind of nerve-wracking. The last time I had scapes pop super-early was 2015. Then we had a vicious severe thunderstorm on May 15, and the gardens got pummeled by very heavy hail. My earlies, Snow Elf and H. fulva, lost all buds and several scapes altogether.

Still, I love seeing them! I'm checking mine daily...Snow Elf plants are almost big enough to start scapes, and I'm keeping an eye on my potted Kwanso bush to see if it sprouts early too.
Hardy hibiscus are a hobby, but daylilies are an obsession.
