The above ladies are spot on with their advice. Phalaenopsis do not tolerate direct sun. It will cause them to suffer needlessly. They just like a bright location.
A lot of Phalaenopsis will be reluctant bloomers with a narrow temperature range. If it is always 68-72, they may bloom once in a while. Or the same thing happens with 73-77. But if you keep them in a home where they experience 65-77 during a few weeks in the fall, that will be a much better situation. They typically make bloom spikes from December through January and bloom from February through May.
Also, don't fertilize too often. Once every other month is more then enough.
They should be repotted every year, two at the most.
They should not go dry between waterings. Water them well and let them approach dryness and then water well again.
