Mostly sunny, with a high near 50. Northwest wind 5 to 10 mph becoming light and variable in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 20 mph.

Cindy,
Alas, I haven't flown in a dream since I was a kid. Or fallen, thankfully, lol!

Gene,
Spectacular sky with geese set against it!

Pepper,
You had the best place to relax!

Dave,
Prayers and hoping they get your defect fixed so this never happens again. Anything medical is stressful. But my motto is, get it fixed when it shows up. I don't always do that, but it's my motto none the less, lol!

Jim,
Just one grandkid spending the night AND the time change had me off for a day, but I'm on track now.

Linda,
Laughing and LOVING your rendezvous!! That's a new one on me! Hahaha!!! I'm sorry pertineer didn't make my list as it was also said in my family! I would call that ''fracturing'' a word, but mostly my great aunt was from Missouri and things just got brought to Iowa.

Ginny,
ROTFL over your humor!

I heard thunder around midnight Monday morning and it rained ALL day. it was wonderful!

I walked early this morning and got miles in. I'm going back out later and try for at least another mile.

Spent all day Sunday visiting Annette at the Mitchellville Prison. She looked wonderful, was happy to see us and is getting along fine. She loves teaching the women in reading, writing, using the computer and writing resumes. She gets hugs from everyone, is well-liked and respected. But she sure would like to come home.

If you watch Making Murder on Netflix, that is her story exactly. I cried for those men. You could hear the honesty in their words. The jury failed them and crooked cops laid it on them. I'm hoping the Innocent Project will get involved if her appeal doesn't throw it out or at least order a new trial.

Not testing the hairs found in his hand is absolutely grounds for exculpatory reasons.

Story Time:

The Diver

I remember my cousins had one of those tiny, deep sea divers that dive and resurface. They got it from one of the cereal boxes or maybe, sent in boxtops.

They brought him out to Grandpa Mills's farm and decided to put him in the cow tank. He went down, but he never came back up.

I can still see Dorene and Vicki, a few years older and taller than me, arms in the water trying to find him in the green slime. It took a while, but they did. It's a vivid memory that still makes me laugh.
A small town has no secrets except itself
