Years ago I started seed of the Bat Plant "Tacca" but I used a germinating chamber with warmth and humidity regulated to mock the tropics. They germinated within a cple days and grew beautifully. We sold every one of them within 3 days of bloom start so never did get one for myself. The blooms were awesome by the way so I hope they grow for you.
