I have Dutch Iris folliage which is about as tall as it ever gets already growing now. What actually happened is that really, really late last fall or early winter the folliage started to grow and has been growing all winter. They were supposed to start growing in the spring but that shows you what an unusual winter it was here. Mild for winter and no snow. So of course I am wondering if the fact that the leaves have been up all winter will make any difference as to if and when I will get blooms.

These are from bulbs that I planted not this past Fall but the year before that so these Dutch Iris are on their second year. I know from asking about Dutch Iris before that there was no guarantee that they would not die out after year one but it seems that they are still alive. So I hope they bloom but of course blooms come much latter in the spring. Last year I had folliage for what seemed like forever before they bloomed. I was waiting and waiting and watching and then finially the bloom stakes appeared as if by magic just about overnight. Then they bloomed really beautifully and I had these big clusters of blooms. Those blooms on them really are just too beautiful.

I had thought to plant some more this past fall but I never did so maybe I can plant more this fall.
