The Texas A&M mask video, linked here days/weeks ago, concluded by placing masks in an open slow cooker liner/oven roasting bag and baking at 200 F for 20 minutes. Open so moisture dissipates. Then they (cool down?) and close and tape the the bag without touching the masks. Then add a label and put the whole works in another bag. This is for making and storing a supply. So the bagging is optional.
So I put one of my home made cotton and panty hose loop masks in an oven and baked it, turned out fine. Nylon is OK to 400 some degrees.
We've been admittedly lax about our own masks. We try to just take them off in the car, put them on the dashboard (sunny day gets pretty hot) and not wearing them several days to a week.
I just saw a video making the mask ties from a one inch strip of T shirt, no sewing needed, just pull to curl it and make it rope like. Will try that today. I found a bag of daughter's T shirts that I never made a quilt out of.
Our county library just announced closure goes till at least June 8, (probably most libraries in central MD) and still figuring out how to handle business when we reopen.. cleaning books? people on public computers? storytimes? library is a very public service place.
