Sunny, with a high near 52. Breezy, with a northwest wind 15 to 20 mph, with gusts as high as 30 mph.

Ginny,
LOL! They will always be thongs to me too! It can get a bit confusing in some conversations...
I sure hope Gene is ok!
Beautiful blooms! Why is it always so cold when it's tulip time there? Thanks for the pictures!
Wow! Don't you have a cold wind today? I sure am glad I mowed yesterday!

Rj,
I already put my rain lilies in the garage and hope it doesn't freeze in there tonight.

Thomas,
More wind, but we'll be begging for it if we have a hot summer.
Topping out will be an interesting experiment. Is that pinching out the top so it will branch?
I want to eat too, so I made a big bowl of stir fry veggies with soy sauce sprinkled over and rice stirred in.

Jeanne,
NICE mulch! It looks like a lot, but it sure doesn't go that far does it?

Windy and colder than I expect every time I go outside.

Yesterday

My brothers and I were in the haymow yesterday, waxing nostalgic.

We had the mow door open, and when I was coming across the road I could ''hear'' Lisa and I playing Credence Clearwater's ''Up Around The Bend.'' I could see us up there looking out every time a car went by. I'd give anything to have a day up there with her again.

It started to rain hard and I was watching it out the door. It was all so familiar. Like it was just yesterday. Looking up, I was wondering why there wasn't a heavy beam running across. I don't think it ever did have one. The boys started talking about swinging. I had forgotten about the hay rope Dad put up in the center! We would run around the sides and swing in a huge circle before dropping on the pile of mattresses. Eventually, the boys took it down for their treehouse.

It was the best clubhouse a kid could ask for.

For you Lisa
