Charter ATP Member I was one of the first 300 contributors to the plant database!
I wouldn't rule out the possibility of a tender sedum or close relative to eschevaria as well. I do love it when the leaves can start whole new plants.

Sempervivum and Jovibarba can start new plants from leaves with a bit of stem or root attached. However it's hard to keep the leaf alive during the process as they are delicate and tend to dry out or die before they get going. I've had the best success with putting the plant piece in a sealed plastic bag in bright light. The humidity in the bag has got to be just right. Not recommended as something to try, but if circumstances are such that you will lose the plant otherwise, why not go for it?
