I used to have that one at my last home. They do shoot their seeds, all you have to do is barely touch the pod and those seeds will fly all over, it is sort of fun to see it happen. To catch the seeds I would watch for developing pods and bag them as soon as you see them with those little wedding favor bags like these. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01MYTVBTG/
