This may be a lame question, but do you let the multiple shoots continue growing on a single tuber or do you remove them for one sturdy stem? I ask because I have 3 tubers that have sent up 3-4 shoots and I don't recall that happening last year with the ones I started early indoors. They don't appear to have disease or any issues, just 3-4 good looking stems with leaves.
