I had it for six yrs. It was in total dark. Every yr I would say "I am going to move the poor thing. The ferns would pop up and cover it and I would forget, I finally moved it and it got 2 hrs of sun I planted Black Hills next to it. I was so pleased with the black and white. The following yr it came up as one leaf and i never saw it again.
