Thanks for the great refresher course on leaves, Christine. I loved the reference to celery. I'd never considered the fact that we're actually eating the petiole! In the last few years, I've been putting more emphasis on leaves in the garden as opposed to flowers. There are many plants with very colorful ones. The great thing is that you've got instant color, and it lasts all season long.
