I did not get to the strawberry protecting. AND... big hole in the strawberry bed this morning. No plant damage but sort of made me ticked off that I never have the time. I didn't get anything done yesterday. However, my son was doing a thing or two for me while I was working and he came in... told me he saw what was digging the large holes. The chipmunks. So the covering that I'd put on top of the strawberries wouldn't have helped. I really just want it to protect the fruit from whatever might eat it. For once the strawberries are doing 'well' and I"d like to harvest a pint. Smiling

Most positive thing I can say for the day so far... I have sweet peas! First time ever! Last year they got to the flowering stage and then were eaten by the groundhogs. Should be able to harvest in a day or two.

Attending an online meeting. All they are talking about is the protesting that is going on. I could have planted so many things. Just got a delivery and after reading your post, thinking it might be my dahlias.
