Thanks Flit, it is getting to be very pretty around here. The redbud beside my back deck is very nearly in full bloom.

It rumbles around in my mind like one of those old plants I've known forever. All this growth is on old stems, woody-ish, much like Crown of Thorns. But it isn't rambling. It came from a friend and she might have cut it back last fall along with the clematis that shares the pot. She also had hyacinth in the pot.

It's been outside all winter, and she had no idea what the plants were except the clematis. Not a plant person. It seems to grow from runners, since I see more of it coming up in the pot.

I'll keep a close eye on it.
