I use a pipe cutter to make clean cuts of tough bamboo. On the theory that the best you can afford is the best bargain, I bought the GARTOL Pipe and Tube Cutter from Amazon. In the photo, it doesn't look much different from the run of the mill cheapies, but it is a beast.
