There is an opal carving at the Smithsonian of a little lizard, where the artist just carved away the excess of the opal naturally occurring on the rock, (I want it, too, but somehow I don't think they'll let me have it!) and this painting reminds me so much of it!
Confidence is that feeling you have right before you do something really stupid.
