Aha! I remembered, albeit at the last minute, that the Mercer Botanic Gardens had scheduled a Father's Day Plant Sale. Since I didn't know if it was still in the works, here's what I found on Facebook.

Jun 13 at 8 AM – Jun 14 at 8 PM Online event Hosted by Mercer Botanic Gardens

"Shop online ahead of Father's Day weekend to get the perfect gift for dad on Saturday, June 13, and Sunday, June 14. Dads love plants too!

The Mercer Society is excited to add more than 100 varieties of gingers to the online store, including some ultra-rare specimens. The virtual plant sale features a wide variety of Mercer Grown plants, including annuals and perennials, edibles, roses, Gulf Coast natives, and trees and shrubs!

Mercer Grown plants are cultivated at Mercer's Horticultural Propagation Center greenhouses. Online shoppers will receive instructions in their order confirmation to retrieve orders the week after the virtual plant sale ends. All orders are pickup ONLY, as the plants cannot be shipped. "

Ginger Lovers - Set your alarm for this Saturday, June 13, at 10 a.m. to learn all about gingers from Master Gardener Ceil Dow, a Mercer volunteer and ginger enthusiast with more than 34 years of experience, during a virtual presentation on Edible & Landscape Gingers in Your Garden!
Following an in-depth video, Ceil will share a LIVE ginger planting demonstration right here on Facebook from Mercer's Tropical Garden and answer a few questions from viewers.
BONUS: You can earn one CEU from Harris County Master Gardeners for watching the entire virtual presentation!
