thanks for your advice too ,all advice welcome.
i did know kent is a moderator of iris .
and i likely am more picky than you might be about iris's or any plants that are unknown ending up with known varieties,it is a pet peeve of mine .
as far as buying the iris AGAIN and AGAIN to see if it's the same as mine ,well that ain't gonna happen ,i'm near 70 yrs old and by the time i order it and it blooms i could be dead.
i do appreciate kent sending me his suggestion as to what it might be ,of the half dozen who did reply ,he was the only one who suggested a name.
