I have used many of the products seen on amazon or local pond shops.

Also pond dyes help protect against excessive sunlight which can have a negative effect on water quality. Adding pond dyes to bird baths are safe and effective and it will also provide a natural shade while improving water quality.

Adding small floaters act like shade . Adding Solar Bio filters help provide natural bacteria to keep water clean or solar bubblers keep the water moving adds oxygen to the water to suppress bacteria. Many pond supply shops also carry small pill type additives used to eliminate bacteria .
I’m so busy... “I don’t know if I found a rope or lost a horse.”
