So far the plants of mine that thrives in this set up are the golden pothos and the dracaena sanderiana (see upper photos on this thread) I am also presently experimenting how far along the Paperwhite Ziva bulbs and Amaryllis bulbs will go in this set-up. I have to see if it will rebloom first. So far forcing the bulbs in this set-up works, now they are on their leaf growing stage. Will update as I go along Big Grin

I got my gel beads before at a local japanese store here in the Bay area, Cali...most recently I also found the gel beads available at Michael's craft store. The hydroton rocks I got from a local store called Orchard Supply Hardware, or you can get it on their online store. Hydroton is also known as leca stones..light expanded clay aggregates, your local hardware may have them too. Other brand names for leca stones are aliflor and primeagra.
