This is my second year growing Japanese irises, and my first growing them in pots that sit in a shallow pool of water. In the winter I had these pots sunk into my vegetable garden bed. The setup seems to be working well, as the plants are healthy and loaded with buds.

Bewitching Twilight (Harris 1999) bloomed today for me. Much better looking than last year when I had it in the ground.

I'm waiting for the others to bloom now. Does anyone else grow JIs in containers?
