The electricity expenses are way out of control for me. I have medical equipment which relies on electricity and I'm concerned that if I don't find a way to get some solor soon, I may have to decide if I'll eat or have electriciyt. Actually I'm not to this point but with everything going up in price regulary and my fixed limited income staying stagnent, I might have to amke these kinds of decisions; I hope not.

Does anyone know of any way to get solar electricity through a grant, foundation, or any other source? What is causing my challenge is th e up front costs of getting solar. Also, Do you know wjere I could get lED light bublb without having to pay an arm leg and a few fingers. I hope to eventually reduce my electrity costs by getting more LED lighting in the house. Maybe I will be able to get an LED plant light bulb or 2 eventually. My green house exists in my mind right now. It would have to be very wheelchair as in power wheelcahir friendly and more. I have hearing loss, am legally blind, and use a wheelcahir so getting around in a greenhouse would be an adventure. I garden in the house.

I've been getting a few plants for Christmas, my birthday, and whenever someone doesn't want a plant. Many years ago, I had a huge collection of plants when I was working as a piano tuner/technician. After I got hurt on the job, I had to move in with my parents and when I moved my plants there they didn't survive. So now, many years later, I'm trying to rebuild my plant dense jungle.

I like the green house idea and hopefully in the future I might be able to have a wheelcahir friendly green house. I have a dream to hold onto. Smiling
