Speaking of mountains, the mountains here got a fresh dumping of snow, which is good 'cuz we desperately need it. At the rate we're going, this is going to be another bad drought year, which is what we DON'T need, with all the fires already this year! But our snowpack is like only at 70%, not good not good.

Mount Evans, which is about 70miles away from me.
Coldfront sitting on the mountains.
It's a bit chilly today. For the past 10+ days it's been in the 60s & 70s & we have shattered a lot of old-standing record highs. However, Sunday blew in that extreme cold front from Canada due to a low in NM (it's raining in NM & TX!
) and we here in the metro can always smell the difference from a cold front from Canada & a warm front from Mexico even if the ambient temperature's the same.. if it smells like cows & dairies, it's from the north! That's because in N.Colorado there's a LOT of feedyards/dairies and the smell doesn't carry unless it comes on a storm. Yesterday I don't think the high got to above 45degs and today's not much better.. supposed to hit 54 but it's only in the mid 30s right now. But it's gonna shoot right back up into the 70s! Now if we could just get some rain...
