Cheryl, Y'all should think about getting a Medicare Advantage plan. They cover so much more than standard Medicare, and a lot of plans don't even charge premiums, the only thing you pay is the Medicare part B, which you will soon be paying, anyway. I got mine through United Health Care, but many well known companies have plans, Aetna, Humana, Blue Cross and Blue Shield, etc. mine has a really great prescription plan, and also a really good eye plan. And yes, mine even pays on a hearing aid if I need one. I had an insurance agent come out to my house who helped me go through various companies plans; the year I turned 65 I was deluged by all the different companies plans in the mail, and wasn't sure which one I wanted. The insurance lady helped me with choosing a company and a plan. I love mine. Any ct scans I have are a flat rate of $99.00. MRIs are $229.00. I don't know if you've seen the cost of those lately, but I can tell you that's a bargain!
