Though we have never gotten seedlings from Ken Johnson, we have been very pleased with his registered daylilies on the Lily Auction.

Teresa, I well remember the freeze you are referring to. It was Easter Sunday in 2007 (I think 2007). It was like 24 degrees here. Everything had bloomed out like this year, and then came that devasting freeze. I had already cleaned out the daylily beds and had new foliage up. I had to cut all the daylily foliage back and clean out the beds a second time once the freeze came. Japanese maples and other shrubs' new growth were killed and set back a year. I am leary that this could happen again this year. It is just too early for this warm weather. The dogwoods, evergreen azaleas, a few deciduous azaleas, and much more are in full bloom now. Once the rain comes tonight and tomorrow and washes off the pollen, I will take some pictures and post them here on ATP.

We could use the rain. I could really use a reason to stay inside, so I can work on our income tax!
