AG, black bean salad looks tasty and Silver Queen corn sounds tasty!

My friend and I went out today. She would like to eat at buffet. I have not checked to see which restaurants are open. We enjoyed Arby's sandwich in the near empty food court while watching rain from the tropical storm along the coast.
Thankfully we are getting nice rain!
I didn't know if I wanted to go in rain yet had time sensitive business.
Since we had to wait in line in car, I am thankful it was cloudy and cool instead of sunny and hot!

We went in membership grocery
store. Not busy. Prices were up.
Though consumer choice does make difference.

Reading about the jobs we worked, I see common interests and how we learned to be thrifty to enjoy the fruits of our labors!

Karen, I don't know if I can do anesthesia. I don't like needles!
Like Tom, I worked night shift!
I survived by giving bed baths.
I can say that now as I look back!
Years ago I never would have said that as I looked forward! Smiling

I posted narrative message from phone and thought I should post food info for Chow Time!
Then I remembered a co-worker finally shared her delicious chocolate cake recipe!

This was a decadent moist easy to serve cake she brought to last work pot luck!
I asked then for recipe and she said, "It's so easy, I'm not telling"
I finally begged enough that she told me basic ingredients.
I googled one recipe, so not much searching. You can probably see more versions, if interested.

This chef's choice chocolate cake mixes a brownie mix with a cake mix, and basic ingredients!
She used a "pudding" cake mix and baked it in a bundt pan.
This cake received rave reviews, better than the $20 store bought cake!

This post has pictures of finished cake, ways it can be shared with friends or sold at farmer's market, and cooking tips!
My friend said she put a chocolate ganache on hers, mixing whipping cream with chocolate chips!?
She told me to google recipe for exact ingredients. If looking for tasty treat for friends, or yourself, I recommend it!

Bon appetit!

I looked at the website more closely. There are several ads that can be distracting.
Here is the copied recipe from the website!
I read some comments where people said it overflowed pan. She says use ingredients as listed in recipe, not as listed on individual boxes. Don't overfill pan. If having extra batter, may be able to make extra cupcakes!
I haven't made this cake. Hope to make it for family birthdays!

Nanny's Chocolate Fudge Brownie Cake
Prep Time
10 mins
Cook Time
55 mins
Total Time
1 hr 5 mins

Servings: 8
Ingredients
1 box chocolate cake mix I used Betty Crocker's Choc. Fudge 15.25 .
1 box fudge brownie mix I used Duncan Hines Decadent Brownies 17.6 .
4 eggs
1 1/4 cups water
1 cup oil
1 can Pillsbury chocolate fudge cake icing
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350 F. Grease and lightly flour a 10 inch bundt pan ( I use Baker's Joy spray).

***NOTE: Do NOT use the ingredients on the brownie mix and cake mix, just what is listed above.

In a bowl add the cake mix, brownie mix, oil eggs, and water. Pour into bundt pan and bake 50-55 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. ***NOTE: Pour enough cake batter to fill the pan 2/3rds the way up. If you have any batter left over, just pop it in some cupcake liners!

Let cake cool completely after waiting 10 min. out of the oven onto a cooling rack and then transfer to serving plate.
In a small bowl, add 1/2 tub of ready to use cake icing, and melt in the microwave 30-45 seconds until it is able to be drizzled over cake.
