The garlic chives have invaded one of my gardens so bad I'm having to rip everything out of that garden and start from scratch. You can't pull them up because they just break off at the bulb and then start over. They spread like crazy and the bulbs crowd out the roots of other, less aggressive plants.

Has anyone tried Dimension (Dithiopyr) in daylily beds? It's a pre-emergent that is supposed to have a post-emergent affect on crabgrass. The label says it's safe for daylilies. I'm using it on the roses this year. I have a horrible grass problem here - not lawn grass but wild grasses.
