Okay, my poppies are now definitely sprouting and are about at the same stage as Jo Ann's photo from March 23rd -- other than a few of my "wild lupines" they are the only things up so far. I think I'll try transplanting some to my perennial bed with some milk jug protection, and some to some larger pots to see how that works -- I definitely have plenty to experiment with! (Karen, you were so right about them being the first thing to sprout for me)
