Strange, I have wild violets in my garden and they are very well behaved. Yes, they show up in strange places but singlely not in a huge bunch. I have one growing and blooming in a crack in the driveway that I think is so cute and so hardy but I sware they aren't bad here at all. It could be all the leaves that I allow to stay on the ground keeps them in check or maybe my hard clay soil is so bad that they can't take off and grow like crazy. I guess the same reason I grow daylilies in pots keeps the little pretty violet under control. One woman's weed is another woman's perennial!
