I live in Santa Clarita in north LA County.

I have potted geraniums that do fine.

I have some ind the ground that really struggle. They get plenty of water. See the photos

Our water and soil is very alkaline with average pHs of 9.5 to 10.5,

Any advice on helping the in ground plants thrive would be appreciated.
