I'm pruning this Sunday. I have had very minimal losses this winter.. less than 10 roses total I think. I think that it's a combination of both a mild mild winter for the most part and the fact that I *may* have figured out on the planting part (burying them up to their eyeballs), plus mulching the crap out of them. The roses that I *did* lose were either teensy little bitty things from RU / Burling or were super weak roses that just didn't make it due to my ineptitude. Surprisingly, I lost more lilacs than roses this year. Probably because I baby the roses & ignore the lilacs. LOL.
Roses are one of my passions! Just opened, my Etsy shop (to fund my rose hobby)! http://www.etsy.com/shop/Tweet...
