I'm so happy for them. Excellence deserves recognition and success. Last year some problems in some of their fields caused them to cancel some orders and offer smaller roses to some of their customers. They asked me whether I'd accept "second-grade" varieties of some of my choices. I agreed, of course, because Palatine's idea of "second-grade" is far superior to some nurseries' idea of "the best." My four "second-grade" roses, for which I paid only $10, are now indistinguishable from the other roses Palatine sent me last year.
