My boss has 150,000+ separate transactions, both selling and buying, so I've learned a couple of things about dealing with bad sellers. Obviously, you would want to try working it out with the seller first. But in cases like this one, go all out. Fill out the DSRs, too, when leaving the feedback. Sellers are restricted and/or suspended if they get below eBay's standards. And see if the transaction has eBay's buyer protection. Which means you can file a dispute through eBay and should get your money back, including shipping.
It’s okay to not know all the answers.
