I've been watching a few this year. A pink one lived on my milkweed a green one in my pepper plants, and a few others were occasionally spotted. I think they're all Carolina. But my husband said he saw a big one about 3 inches long on our gate so it must be a different kind.
Turns out my pepper living mantis found a mate. Hopefully that means I'll have several next year too. Between my garden toads and the few mantis, I haven't had to spray for bugs this year.
