Do I call this the first bloom of the new season at my house?
Or should I call it the last bloom of the old season?
It's a Red Lion, that I bought in a multi-pack display that didn't bloom LAST CHRISTMAS, but instead sprouted leaves and then just "hung out" all summer. It's an individualist. It's still pretty, no matter the time.
