A little warm water won't make much of a difference in terms of your orchid. It requires more then that!
As Daisy said, this is a Phalaenopsis. It is a tropical plant so ice cubes should NEVER be used. Always Luke warm water. Welcome to the site!!
If you could find your way over to our Orchid Forums, that is where you will find lots of threads and sticky's dealing with Phalaenopsis care and culture.
Bright light
No direct sun!
Fresh media means live roots. Live roots mean a happy plant.
Fertilize once every three months @1/4 tsp. Per gallon.
YOURS NEEDS TO BE REPOTTED ASAP!!
The top of the pot shows dying roots in very stale and horrible sphagnum moss. I recommend that Phalaenopsis need to be repotted every year, 2 at the most. They love to be repotted and rapidly put out new roots. Water thoroughly one day for every inch of pot. Example: 5"'pot water every 5 days.
Please check out our sticky on Growing Supermarket Orchids-Phalaenopsis. It provides so much information. If you scroll back we have numerous threads dealing with Phalaenopsis care. You might find them of immense help.
