New to Dahlias but not to gardening. This was my first attempt to grow these beauties . Three failed to thrive and the remaining three...
The one (in pic) is on the second round of blossoms but not alot, one had a couple blossoms in August and has some buds now and the third hasn't bloomed yet and has small buds which probably won't have enough time to mature and bloom before we get a hard frost. They're all the dinner plate large varieties. We did have a very hot summer but I watered them regularly. Our sub soil is sandy so they weren't in too soggy of soil. I fertilized them every couple of weeks with a Miracle Grow type of fertilizer.
What am I doing wrong and any helpful Dahlia growing tips appreciated.
