Whew! I am relieved. I was afraid you had lost most of the pack. Glad all is well on the homefront. And regarding the house being a mess, those of us with pets would have no problem with it.
I do believe that those who take in abandoned or discarded pets are repaid many times over for their kindness. You will truly be blessed. Give all four a pat for me.
