Our 7 cats are rather separated since several of them fight...so it's not just a matter of everyone into the same big crate. I also have to take into consideration that I cannot get a small vehicle that wouldn't have room to carry them if we have to evacuate again at any time. I worry about my neighbor who has a horse, pony, 2 goats, 3 parrots, 3 dogs and numerous guinea pigs and doesn't even own a horse trailer. If we have to evacuate, our animals definitely go with us. Fallbrook, where I live, has been hit with wildfires twice in the last 7-8 years and many people I talk to say the same thing....they have to have a truck, trailers, whatever to evacuate their animals with them.
I could be wrong...
