I have held a shipment of seeds to Canada since before Christmas because my friends at the local Post Office that I use say Canada is CLOSED to incoming shipment from the USA. They think that it is because there is soooo much COVID-19 in the United States, but admit that there has not been any official word of explanation. I agree with DaviJK that the USPS has been a mess since before the election. Most of my seed shipments have taken much longer than usual to get to their destinations.
I have never had a problem shipping to Canada so long as I carefully fill out the customs form that goes with it, and declare that it is "Clean" daylily seeds---H. fulva. I have never had anything shipped from Canada, so I can not remark on that except to say that maybe the US Customs is more stringent in it's requirements. I will hold the Canada shipment a while longer. I do not want it sitting in some US Customs office on top of a heat radiator, or freezing in an unheated warehouse somewhere.
