Container Gardener Seed Starter Plant and/or Seed Trader Tomato Heads Annuals Vegetable Grower
Hello all!

I've been seed starting for 6-7 years, first with just annual flowers and tomatoes but for the past 3 years, I've been branching out to include more and more vegies.

Three years ago, I(we: my 101 yr old grandmother and I) bought a 2 bedroom mobile home and moved into the county from apartments in the city; my gro table set-up is a DIY PVC + shoplight on-a-living room shelf as I had to dismantle it and store it under my bed every year. . . My beloved grandmother died a few months after moving, so now her bedroom has become my plant room: my gro station stays up year-round and the furniture now holds my seeds etc instead of clothes. My gardening area is still very small but expanded (yearly it seems) by a growing container ghetto (Earthboxes, patio containers) in my driveway! My garden helper/landscaper is building high "shelves" along one side of an unused deck, for hardening off seedlings and begin constructing a pot ghetto Hilarious!

This year, I will start (indoors, from seed): tomatos, jalapeno peppers, watermelon, broccoli, brussels sprouts, yellow crookneck squash, borage, marigolds. . . and direct sow green beans, cucumbers, cilantro, beets and carrots. (I think I remembered all of them!)

Here's some pics:
the basic DIY gro set-up (for mine, I added longer/higher legs/supports and used a 4-LED shoplight. . . and put the whole thing on top of a waist plastic high shelving unit! The other shelves hold my seed-starting stuff.)

The short deck/stairs on the left is where my new "shelf" will be. It overlooks my 3'W x 47'L raised bed, seen in this 2019 photo:

Also, for 2019: my avatar of half-grown very productive tomato plant and a pot of shistito peppers!
I have no photos for 2020.

I still have scattered mounds of snow on the ground, but yesterday heard a mourning dove: spring IS coming!
Thumbs up
