I had to look that one up! It has H. x johnsonii in its parentage, and I've thought of trying x Johnsonii in the ground at my place with heavy winter mulch in a protected location. I'm on the downward edge of zone 7- so I don't know.
But if that naughty dog digs it up again and dislodges an offset that you don't want to replant....
😉




my johnsonii X plants are outside all year around as well, in the pots, no problems so far. This year it seems to be even without majoar leaf lost. Bloom should be in the end of march.
