Tom, I tried that hard boiled egg recipe and for me, it was a total failure. I place the eggs in a pan with water to cover, bring to a fast full, rolling boil, turn down to simmer and cook 8 minutes. As soon as the timer rings, take the pan to the sink and run cold water over the eggs at full force. While the water is running, go to the freezer and grab a double handful of ice cubes. Turn the water off and drain just enough water to plop all the ice cubes in. Wait 5 minutes, drain the water and ice off, and dry the eggs. Perfectly cooked, and no green around the yolks.
I'm afraid I won't joint the lentil brigade, at least not until I've tasted them somewhere else. They look too much to me like dried limas, which I detest. I know, sounds crazy. I just don't want to cook a large batch with all the other ingredients, sit down to eat, take one bite and spit it out!
