We're getting the tail end of your Nor'easter storm here too, Ursula. It thundered and rained in the night, and now it's blowing a cold wind out of the north. We will be cold for 3 more days, it appears. I'm doing the old "orchid shuffle" this afternoon, and covering all my tender babies up out in the hoop house tonight, tomorrow and Wednesday as well. Thursday it is back to warm Florida weather.

I have a few buds starting to pop and I'll get to enjoy them in the house, it seems. This is a big purple Phal I mounted on a wreath form, along with a bunch of mini-Phals. They are all in spike, and the big one is starting to open. I'm thrilled to see it as I must have missed it's bloom completely last spring when I was away.
