It's really dry here, Alice. Very low humidity today, my lips and hands need moisturizer and I've got wet towels hanging around where the orchids are camping in the house to add humidity.

We do have frost/freeze warnings all the way down here to Sarasota County, but only east of I-75 so we will be fine, 40-ish. My enclosed hoop house stays above 50 so far with just frost cloth and no heat source in there except a few tubs of water that warm up in the daytime. It's on the south-facing wall of our shop building though, so that wall also collects lots of solar heat during the day. I'm sure that's what keeps it warm, plus the windbreak of the building itself. As the days go by, so comes more sun each day, thankfully.

This has been an exceptionally long, cold winter for Florida, I've got to say. These cold fronts started to make it down here in late November, and have been almost weekly since then. I'm pretty sure I'm losing weight from all the orchid shuffling I've been doing.
